Over 70 years ago Trim-A-Seal was founded by my father, Larry Weiss. His philosophy was simple…build a company with a strong dedication to offering high-quality products and excellent customer service at fair prices. Today, Trim-A-Seal is a third generation, family-owned business that has served over 40,000 customers and continues to grow by offering the latest energy saving and technologically advanced products. We began by offering just windows, doors and siding. Today we install a full range of home improvement products including windows, siding, doors, gutters, awnings, gutters, concrete coatings, and more!

At Trim-A-Seal, we are proud to manufacture our own door and window awnings and custom cut our own aluminum gutters right here at our in house facility in Indiana. And whenever possible, we carry locally made brands like HomeGuard and products manufactured in the U.S.A like Sunrise Windows, Gutter Helmet, Armaclad, Sunsetter and more.
Though times have changed, filling the special needs of each customer to their satisfaction has always been our primary goal. We take great pride in our tradition of excellent quality products, dedicated customer service, and low prices. Our dedication has helped us earn a reputation as one of Northwest Indiana’s most respected and successful home improvement companies.

1954
Larry Weiss buys company
1960
Trim A Seal expands manufacturing to include doors
1964
Trim A Seal expands manufacturing to include awnings & patio covers
1971
Trim A Seal adds other products: siding, soffit, fascia, and gutters
1981
Howard Weiss, second generation, enters the business
1986
Second location added in Glen Park
1988
Roofing service is added
1997
Merrillville store and showroom open
2000
Trim A Seal acquires The Styled Rite Company and its Hammond location
2003
Gutter Helmet franchise is awarded to Trim A Seal for all of Northern Indiana
2008
Sunsetter Retractable Awnings are added to awning product line.
2011
Zack Weiss, Third Generation, joins company.
2011
Showroom opens at new Munster location
2013
Gutter Helment Franchise awarded to Trim A Seal.
2017
Operating 11 Sunsetter territories in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Now the nation’s largest Sunsetter awning retailer!
